Why off-grid

The tower isn't the problem. The power is.

Most monitoring products need mobile coverage and a subscription. Out here coverage is patchy, and when the power goes, the towers go with it. Our systems run on their own radio, between your own devices, on your own land.

1.6 daysMedian phone outage in Black Summer, mostly from power loss
~$340Yearly subscription on a typical commercial tank monitor
$0Monthly fee on ours
Cool rooms & freezersTemperature, mains power and battery for every fridge on one screen, with an alarm past your limits.
Tanks & troughsWater levels without the morning drive to check them.
Gates & shedsKnow when a gate opens or a door is left open.
FrostAn early warning before it hits the crop.

A solar node on the house or shed that keeps you on the Coast mesh through a blackout, so the valley can still text.

FAQ

Straight answers

Is there a subscription?

No. You own the hardware and the data never leaves your property.

How far does it reach?

Kilometres between nodes, depending on hills and trees. We check on the site walk, and add a relay where a gully gets in the way.

What if the power goes?

Nodes report mains power and battery, so a power cut shows up as an alert rather than silence. Remote nodes run on solar.

We already have UHF.

Keep it. UHF is for voice. This carries sensor readings and text messages, and they wait for you if you weren't listening.

A tower's coming to our area.

Good. When it loses power, your alarms and the valley's messages still get through.
