For clubs & community groups · Central Coast NSW
Your club.Its own network.
Sailing and paddling clubs, 4WD clubs, Men's Sheds, neighbourhood centres and strata. We run a workshop built around how your group works and can put a solar repeater on your roof, so members text each other across the water, the trail or the suburb without phone signal.
One map. Every member.
Everyone in the group sees the same messages and positions, with no group chat that needs signal and no one hogging the radio channel.
Start small
Members' talk
45 minutes at your club night. What the mesh is, what it isn't, and a live demo.
Club workshop
Up to 15 people at your venue. Built around how your club actually operates: race days, convoys, call-outs, working bees. Everyone leaves on the club channel.
Clubhouse repeater
A solar repeater on your roof or mast. No mains power needed. It covers your members and puts your club's name on the public Coast mesh map.
Maintenance plan
A yearly check, battery and firmware care, and a call-out if it goes quiet.
Grants can pay for it.
Community repeaters fit disaster-readiness and community grant programs such as ClubGrants and Stronger Communities. Local businesses can also sponsor a site in return for their name on the map. Ask us and we'll help you work out what fits.
Committee questions
Will it interfere with our radios?
No. It runs in the 915–928 MHz LIPD band, well away from marine VHF, UHF CB and patrol channels. It's a separate network and sits alongside your safety radio, never instead of it.
Do we need a licence?
No. The band is covered by the ACMA's LIPD class licence, which applies to everyone automatically.
Who owns the repeater?
Your club can own it outright, or we own and maintain it with your club's name on it. Either way it's on the public map, and if you ever want it gone, we take it down.
What does it need from the building?
A spot with sky and a view of the horizon, and a few fixing points. It runs on its own solar panel and battery, with no mains connection.
Our members aren't technical.
That's what the workshop is for. If they can send a text message, they can use this.

Tell us about your club: what you do, how many members, where you meet. We'll suggest a date for a free talk at a club night.
